Welcome to DeRuss Havanese
If you like potato chips and a box of chocolate you will like the Havanesse breed. With potato chips, you don't just stop after one. You don't know what you're getting with a box of chocolate until you open the box, meaning that Havanese come in a variety of colors and markings. Russ and I bought our first Havanese in 2009 after not having a dog for over 11 years. After only a few months, we decided to get another. Then another. Our first three are males and we showed two of them to their Grand Championship. Then we added some females. They keep adding up!
Our home is located in Northern Macomb County, Michigan. Our Havanese live in our home with us, first and foremost, as our family pets then as show dogs. They each have a crate in our bedroom where they sleep or stay when we are not at home. They love to cuddle, play, travel, but most of all, they love to be with you!
We are dedicated to breeding Havanese that are wonderful examples of this breed. Our adult dogs are health tested and receive AKC chic #'s. They receive regular wellness check-ups from our vet. All companion puppies are placed in their forever homes with "limited registration" which means they are not to be bred or shown in Conformation. They are meant to be loved and cherished as companion pets.

Puppies are $2,500, come with AKC Registration papers on spay/neuter contract. Also microchipped and given 1st DHPP vaccine. My Havanese have such sweet personalities. They love to cuddle and be near you.
I ONLY BREED 2 LITTERS A YEAR SO THIS IS IT FOR 2024. I LIKE SPRING/SUMMER PUPPIES. THEY CAN GO OUTSIDE TO PLAY AND LEARN MORE ABOUT POTTY TRAINING. WINTERS ARE SO COLD AND SNOWY AND ITS HARDER INTRODUCING THEM TO THE OUTDOORS WHEN SO YOUNG. WINTER PUPPIES ARE HARDER TO POTTY TRAIN.
